This is the last time I'm trusting those $2 shop bungees to hold a load on my pack-rack
Cost me a fortune did that spill AND I almost sprained my ankle when I slipped on the spilt beer when I went to check how many bottles got broken

Had to put the bbq off 'til next weekend.

Maybe the grolsch is the reason for his spelling

Oooh goody, another Beer Thread. I haven't drunk Grolsch for aeons. I had a memory of it being unpleasant. Are you implying that it's Good Stuff?

I might have to (in the interests of science, of course) go get some tonight.

Had some quite recently. It falls into my "acceptable" category, which contains many beers.

Indeed. That wouldn't be a disaster - that would be a tragedy.

Actually, now that I think about it, my memory of it being the Good Stuff goes back to December 2002, when I was trying all the (free) beers at our staff Christmas lunch (an all-day affair). After drinking various local beers, I tried all the imported stuff, as I'd never had most of them before. Seemed pretty good, but I can't be sure that my... er... judgement was ... er.. sound.

Anyway, must've drunk too many, as there were no imported beers in the bar at the last one.

I've had one (Grolsch) since then, and it was OK. Same as Boags - I thought when working in Perth in 1999 that it was brilliant, but having drunk all the best Macs, Speights, and other NZ beers since then, it's OK, but not my favouritest.
Christmas do is next Friday, but I'm under strict instructions from Mrs Vifferman (or is that Vifferwoman?!?) not to get inebriated, after running away after the last one.
    ... and that's what I think.
