    Would it sell?

Looking for a job for a few months before I hopefully head down to Welly and have been offered one in telesales. Not to sure about the product thou and wondering if anyone would actually buy one as it is mostly commission based. Its basically a health and beauty voucher booklet with vouchers from 8 different stores which includes

    Complimentary Facial (30 min)
Complimentary eyebrow tidy and eyelash tint
Complimentary 5 Foils or 3 Colour flashes
Complimentary hair treatment suited to own hair type and condition
50% off a Designer Cut and blow wave
    50 % Off a Massage
    Complimentary nail file and paint
Complimentary express manicure with every pedicure
    3 x Complimentary yoga classes.
3 x Complimentary Power Plate sessions
2 x Complimentary Booty Camp Trainings
Complimentary 1 on 1 one hour pilates assessment
    Complimentary reflexology treatment (20 mins)

And a lot of discounts on products and services from the 8 places

Costs $60 for the voucher booklet which is the same price as the facial would normally be. Over $700 value all up

So, would anyone actually buy one either for themselves or for a gift? Know anyone that would or do you think it's a waste of time?

There have been so many of this type of thing over the years that most are a wakeup to them.

If it was such a good deal they wouldnt be doing commision only. I wouldnt touch it.

Not at all interested, and as Tank has said, I think you will be on a hiding to nowhere trying to sell these on commission. There are plenty of other jobs out there, go look for a better one is my advice!

I had someone trying to sell it to me once before but I said no. I like all my beauty stuff but to be honest I really wouldn't see the use in buying the book. It would be a better idea to go into businesses, rather then telemarket cause I would rather have the book there to flick through rather than have it forced on me at home on the phone.

    Short answer... no!
I'm gonna make it so PC

With all the extra money people now don't have in this current economic downturn this gimmic seems like a bit of a luxury item.

I'd rather spent the dosh on bling for the bike.

I agree with Mom, don't sell yourself short.

I used my vote for my other half, her being of the sex that I see this product aimed at. Men might be more likely to actually buy this as a gift, most probably an unwanted gift IMHO.

    No.

I'd buy one...$60 is definitely good value for all that you're getting although it is a little unnerving not knowing who will perform the said treatments.

Personally, I never really get to "treat myself" to little things like a great haircut or a manicure, simply because just a haircut costs $65

So, I like the concept, but I'd also want to find out who the "performing artists" will be.

PS: telesales on comm only are 9 times out of 10 a go nowhere sort of job. Keep looking and raise your expectations levels a little. You will be surprised what you can achieve with a little more self confidence. Good luck!

Holy fuck! I refuse to pay more than $30 for a haircut and only get one about once a year! I am lucky that I have boring old long hair that really cant justify $60+ for an inch or so to be trimmed off it! Just Cuts - $25. That's what im talking about!!!

$65 is nothing for a chicks hair.

Where my daughter works they regularly have girls spending iro $400 on having their hair done.

    Never ceases to amaze me.

Me - I just get my head shaved at home. Only expense is having to pay for my own beer whilst its done.

I personally wouldnt buy it. I wonder if the voucher has a time period that you have to use them by? By the time you get around to doing something with the voucher its expired..(well has happened to me in the past with massage gift certificates). People have tried to sell me similar things in the past, but I am not interested in spending $60 on stuff I didnt really want in the first place, and have no choice in where to get it done. There is always a catch with these things usually, like for example 50% off the massage, could be off a very expensive massage.

I think you should probably do as MOM says.. thats good advice.
