    Harley-Davidson: Women buying more motorbikes

According to Harley Davidson, sales to women now account for 10% of their total. In recognition of this, the company has included a dedicated section of their website to their female customers.

Sales have grown from just 2% in 1985. Harley Davidson have been looking to diversify from their traditional customer base and have been actively marketing women, which would account for the increase from 8 to 10% of the overall total in the last two years.

Harley-Davidson's communications manager Paul James said women are increasingly drawn to new models like Harley's low-seat Sportster bike because “those models are easier to handle”.

On the seventh day God created the Harley and on the eight He traded it for something lighter and faster.
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

Back in the 60s Harley were the only bike manufacturer to offer a special low height bike for shorter riders....such as women - there's nothing new under the sun eh....except a new story..
