    The mobile phone geek thread

Gah...my venerable Ericsson Z520i has finally died (dropped it for the umpteenth time and now it won't pick up a signal so guess the internal antennae is damaged).

Any suggestions for a replacement? Must be cheap cos I'm Scotch. Must be a flippy or a slider as I can't be @#$cked pushing buttons to answer and terminate calls. Must be relatively bulletproof. Must get a good signal as I live in the rural part of a 3rd world country. Mibby I should just buy another?

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

    OFFS Col!

    It works fine in mine.

Bring around your phone and charger. If my phone charges in your new charger I'll give you my charger (that worked on Saturday in your phone).

Quasi's coming round on Sunday. You could catch up with him then too.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

From my experience, i'ld stay away from cheap motorollas, They seem to break on me...mabe im too hard on them.
Every nokia i've owned has worked perfectly, without fault. There are some cheap nokias around, but might not be a slidy one.

Nokia seem to do best in weak signal areas, battery doesn't last near as long when it's boosting the signal though.
