I’m sure from what I’ve read on here that Quasi “would” stand by his gear 100%, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that this material should never have been used as a lining in the first place. I’d be really pleased if the new generation gear had addressed past issues and I’d welcome a response from Quasi (Brett) himself!
I hope that answers your question!
If you want an answer from him then you should have the deciency to question him directly I believe. I'm not trying to give you a hard time but there are ways to go about things and whats happening in this thread is not one of them eh. How about you let it go on this thread and send Quasi a PM. I'm sure you will be pleased with the result.

If you're not giving me a hard time, why question my decency? If I upset with Quasi (I’m not), I would have pursued him directly. I believe my comments were a fair criticism of a product, not the seller or his service. I also get the impression that I’m treading on your toes by making this public and you’d like to keep it under wraps. If that’s the case, then tough! Have you stopped to think that maybe, just maybe Brett is aware of this issue and has been waiting for someone to bring it up and therefore address it in public. It could be great PR!

Meh, step on my toes, I cannot feel the things. Its the common norm to return a product to the seller when there is a fault. If you think I'm perturbed or even want to "keep it under wraps", your simply deluded. If this is a way to make PR so be it, but its a rather unusual way about doing it. I've had a one piece QM and was pretty impressed with it when I compared it to others Ive owned that cost over twice as much. Get this, I don't stop to think about you and your life, why would I? I just reply to what you have posted, you might want to get used to it and forget to make assumptions.

Ive seen the quasi gear a few times (I even bought one of his back protectors yesterday) and it does seem good quality and good value for money.

I bought this because I liked the look of it as much as because it was cheap. It would be a boring world if everyone chose from the same range of leathers.

The thickness of the leather and the quality of the stiching Im quite happy with, its only the colouring that lets it down.

No response from them yet but it is the weekend so likely they havnt even seen my email yet.

We had a lining issue about two years ago, and that was the result the lining durability wasnt up to scratch, we sold that gear out at a much lower price. Since then we have upgraded the lining spec considerably and that problem wont happen ever again I assure you.
it may be able to be fixed dependant how bad it is, but you need to email us and discuss it as we WONT have a disatisfied customer.

    Cheers for the reply Quasi!
I’m pleased you’re already aware of the issue with the lining and have addressed it for the future. The pants in question were the QM3005 and purchased in January this year for a meagre $150. I too believe that you get what you pay for, so I’m able to laugh about this one and certainly don’t hold any animosity toward yourself or Quasimoto! If I’d paid full or close to full retail for these pants, I would most certainly be e-mailing you for a remedy! As it stands, the lining was 90% replaced yesterday with a mesh lining from a pair of tracksuit pants, and stretch panels added to take pressure off the remaining original lining at the ankles.
I thank you for your offer to discuss a solution, but it won’t be necessary. Even if I was an unhappy customer, the fact that you’ve acknowledged the problem is good enough for me.
I do however have one question. How did the inside go so wrong when the outside went so right?

    Cheers,
    Al

While the TradeMe sellers can be a bit iffy I bought my first and only jacket from a guy on TradeMe, username MadMax5 under the company Lifestyle Imports.

Some of you guys have seen my jacket and I have received bucket loads of compliments on it, i've had it since I first started riding the day i turned 15 so that's 4 years of riding and i've had 3 minor lower than 50k bins on it. Never had to replace it because it hasn't a scratch on it,

I really do recommend this bloke, jackets are about $270? Comes with removable solid foam armour and I just think it's bloody brillaint. Unfortunately the inner pocket has become a bit ripped and i'll be needing a new jacket soon but 4 years with 3 bins is a bloody good deal for just the inner lining to go bust..

Also with the with the refund or exhange policy if you're unsatisfied I reckon it's brillaint for beginner riders..

Just sharing a tested and trialled opinion on a risky purchase.

Hate to say it but...ya get what ya pay for.
Ive bought "bargains" in the past and been pissed off with the lack of longevity.
Now Ive got Alpinestars gear and no complaints, its worth the wait I assure you.

Well the seller has not replied to my emails. And ebay does not appear to let me change my (now very undeserved) positive feedback.

So in no circumstances purchase from airx-sports

I have seen those jackets, and more Ducati types. Not sure if they are all made from the same place. A mate has just got one from ebay, I am thinking it will be the same as yours... should be interesting to see what it's like.
But overall you happy with the feel etc of your jacket, if you came off you feel that it would protect you?

Does every gear thread on kiwibiker have to get hijacked by the Quasi told-you-so fan club? Don't get me wrong I'm not debating Quasi's gear at all (wouldn't dare I'm likely to get strung up), it's just there's only ever one or two posts before someone jumps in and says "shoulda bought a Quasi one"!!
