Ah, what a feeling!
I have often pissed and moaned about how we haven't been able to get broadband here at home.
As such it's only fitting that I post something positive when the situation improves.
So today I went to the Telecom store and had a chat with them there. After about an hour toiling with the inherent bureacracy associated with getting anything done here in NZ we are now connected.
Not through a cable though.
But the mobile broadband seems pretty good - getting speeds of approximately 1,500 kB/s from mainland US and Europe through www.speedtest.net
It's a bit more expensive and the data caps are pretty small (max. 2 GB per month or it starts getting ridiculously expensive).
The best thing is that I can now feasibly play Associations while at home - without dying from impatience of blocking the phone line.
