High in vitamin C, has been shown to have painkilling properties and also gives your system a bit of a rev and will speed up the recovery...didn't say it would be instant did I?

    • Drink a decent slug of water throughout the night, and intersperse your booze with the odd water (1 in 2 or 1 in 3 is good if you can remember).
    • Painkillers just before you go to bed too so you get the chance to sleep as long as you can so long as the sweats don't wake you in the night.
    • Next morning, more water with a pinch of salt AND a pinch of suger in it (helps metabolise and get rid of dehydration), or apple juice, or Gatoraide/similar sports drinks
    • More painkillers next morning (Neurofen work for me, strong and no reaction to alcohol, unlike panadole)
    • As much continuous sleep overnight as you can get (gets you through the painful parts without being conscious if you didn't manage to avoid them)

Aha, somebody has handily (foolishly) left a bag of Bombay mix next to the lap top.

Let's give that a go then.

Yep, just a thin layer of cloud keeping the carnage at bay.

(Bombay mix isn't working. Time for cup of tea number 4)

Lemonade iceblocks ..... work every time.

And then sit back and wait for that glorious moment when the hangover clears (usually some time mid-afternoon). Honestly, I think there should be thunderclaps, lightning, orchestral music, and that weird "God-light" that comes through the clouds ...... fabulous.

If it's any consolation I was horribly hungover yesterday, compounded it by locking the keys in the work car at Lake Brunner, had to get a guy in to crow-bar the door open. Then I got to the airport at Christchurch and the booking agent had cancelled my bookings on the flights home.... spent two hours at Christchurch airport and four at Wellington before I got home..... waking up the next day never felt so good as it did this morning! You have that to look forward to tomorrow.....

Blue Powerade and a couple of Nurofen before you go to bed.

Yeah man nurofen is key, don't take panadol after drinking though! Alcohol increases the metabolism of panadol, which gets turned into a toxic metabolite, this then goes on to fuck with you liver. No so good.
Pulpy orange juice always works for me. And keeping my stomach full, i just snack all day. Dam i had a bad one yesterday, bloody hyde st keg race

change what you drink i use to drink beer all the time but would wake up with mean hangover after only 1/2 a dozen swapped to sprits can drink half a bottle wake next day and feel great appart from lack of sleep in most cases but no sore head or churning gut. Put it down to the hops and the preseratives they add to the beer.
