I can't find him on the member list any more so that's why I was asking

Update: I went a round-about way and got to his profile off a thread and his last post was 9 March 2008. Shame, he should come back.
    Cheers

Is he on holiday? Is his health good? Are his kids OK? Does his Mom need to go into a rest home and he is busy organising that? Is his marraige OK? Is he simply busy? Does he have better things to do?

He may have chosen not to log on because he is over it?

Who knows. I have had a few PM's with Paul, he seems a nice guy, I dont have contact details for him off KB, or I would be in touch and know what is happening for him. Go and ask if you are concerned.

I thought about this quite a bit last night... and flame me, mock me as much as you like... I feel as I have always said KB is a slightly “abnormal” situation.... you come into contact with people you may not necessarily have come into contact with without the site. This in itself has great advantages, because I can personally say that I have made some wonderful friends through this site. I have however, also met some of the most horrible people, people I would never even glance in their direction in “real life”... so like life I suppose there are many angles to people and their approaches on this site.

I over simplify it on KB, and say there are the people who care and the people who don’t. The people who care, like the Paul in NZ of the world are amazing, but are becoming further and further apart on KB. The people who don’t, who seem to get pleasure out of pushing their own inferiority complexes on others in an attempt to make them feel better about themselves are becoming more and more.

It is sad for me to see... I may be getting older now, and have been on KB long enough to see the changes take place. I don’t like what I see... when good people are trampled down and arses prevail. Does it mean the arses are right? No... it means they play dirtier, and the good people of the world don’t enter that sort of “combat”.

    It’s sad.
As I said, agree with me, mock me, flame me... don’t really give a toss really. It’s just my opinion... and like arseholes we all have one.

To the person who spurred on this thread by their leaving - Adios mate... Im glad I still know you in real life and am proud to call you a friend.

I see what you're saying and while I don't disagree, I've found the arses don't win, because while I am not able to stand up to them alone, I find it easy to cope in a couple of ways

The first is to see them for who they are. Their opinions are not worth anything so I happily watch them yapping away making an arse of themselves, and their little gaggles of friends. It's so cute, pointless, and ineffective.

The other is for the serious arses, those with firm convictions on a serious issue that IMHO are just plain flawed. I'll open my mouth to this ... possibly too much, knowing that if I go overboard at any point, and I do, I have friends out there that will pull me up in no uncertain terms.
