    Noob alert .. (Joliet)

    Hey guys (and girls!)

I thought I'd better properly introduce myself on KB. I'm Jo, aka Joliet, aka Romeos missus (explains the handle!). I've just gone and got myself my first bike - an RD50 - and I'm in the process of fixing her up. In fact, yesterday I ordered some circlips and a top end gasket set and I'm kinda hoping theyre the last major things I need. My dads a bike mechanic so he's helping me out with fixing her up. Very useful having him around, thats for sure!

A bit about me (the boring stuff!) .. I'm studying IT at Polytech - basically the same course as Romeo - and I've been back in NZ almost a year after spending 5 years in England (in Hinckley - where the current Triumphs are being made). I also work part time selling jewellery .. it brings in the dollar.

Anyway, everyone on here seems so lovely and welcoming (apart from the few trouble makers I seem to have spotted) and I'm sure I'll be around a while poking my nose into random threads and having a chat.

    Welcome.
Awwww, an RD50. How cute! Mrs Oakie's cousin had one of those back in the late 70s. It went really well and she was even known to travel from Timaru to Oamaru and return on it. I don't believe it ever let her down either.

welcome and have fun on here and on your bike.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here. QWQ

Hello and welcome. I hope you find KB as informative and useful as I have.

It's all good stuff! In fact, I think we were parked behind/next to you outside a bike shop on Colombo Street the other day. Well, thats what he seems to think anyway but yes, the boy seems to have a lot of respect for you!

Heh, I never thought of that one .. good one. Would probably work better if you'd spelt it right as well though?
