Probably best to check first, or post in here that you'll be there and see who else says they'll meet you there.

You could always come and check this out this Sunday if you want to take a ride in the opposite direction!!

I went over the hill last Sunday, didn't see a single other motorcycle either way. Of course it was freezing and starting to rain, perhaps that had something to do with it. Damn getting a new bike at the start of winter.

    +1

This bloody weather has been really pissing me off.

Had a couple of good rides the last couple of days though which has sort of made up for it.

Sorry dude, I'm all ridden out after 1500km Tues-Thu this week and I have a house to rearrange after new carpet being laid.

I had a very good offer to go for a ride too today so it was a close thing but Duty prevailed

Dingoz asked the question ... "when shall we go for a ride?" I thought ... oh I must talk to Nasty about brunch in Martinborough. Haven't done that for ages. So I looked at the forecast ....

"Cloud increasing. A few showers about the ranges, turning to widespread rain at night as northwesterlies, gale gusting 100 km/h in exposed places, turn strong cold southerly. Snow may affect higher parts of the Rimutaka Hill Road overnight."

    .... NOT!!!!

Yep wouldn't wanna be on the taka's next couple days ! (buries his head in the sand waiting for the sun to warm his arse)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I can see myself with feet up watching DVD's with the heater on this weekend, but may drag myself out to the garage to clean the bike etc....
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

100km/hr winds and snow forecast for the top of the 'takas during daylight hours. Haven't ridden in falling snow since '89. Not keen to do snow & wind.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Lol yeah i did think AFTER i posted that ! Not that keen myself Jim haha been blown off that hill once and i generally learn by my mistakes !
Though it is a NW that gets ya on the takas and it'll be a chill factor minus 10 southerly morra with only about 2 inches of snow pfffft ! NOTHING to a real biker !
(slopes off wondering if there are any who might like to take photos of the snow for me)
