Well thanks to the guys who turned up...Nats as always took up much of my time so sorry for not chatting to everyone....Skelstar, thanks for playing silly buggers with Nats, making the paper plane she still has and Lisa for the Kinder Eggs... she likes them now.

Well we packed heaps in Friday

    Te Papa
    Pub
Cable car (battery low so short stay)
    Webber's Circus

    Sunday am

Said goodbye to the naked man with a small dick standing on the quay side.

Sadly Wellington Airport guys decided to damage the powered chair. I had to actually get off plane and go on the tarmac to see what the problem was.

Silly man who said to me at Gate "We deal with these all the time, will be no problem"...on tarmac "well it has power?"...I said "but it does not move you wally, so much for you saying there would be no problem"...they managed to get it on tarmac onto fork hoist and no idea what they did...plus it did would not fit in door of hold..."well you got it here" I explained...they wanted to put it on it's side...explained the $45,000 price tag...and the batteries...ddeerrr...basically I told them that it was not staying in Wellington as it is Nats legs...just gave them a South London honesty check out.

    Delayed plane by 20 mins...

Get to Auckland, silly buggers put the back up manual chair (used to get her to plane)...behind the now buggerd wheelchair...then when powered chair was left for me to collect I discovered the "very nice men" forced the rear frame which holds the seat (which was on manual) inwards to make it fit in the hold...great consideration...annoying "She will be right" approach....brainless nerds did not even have the brains to bend it back to avoid detection...they would have had to really force the bend as the bracket is about 5mm thick and would have need 2 guys to do.

Complaint lodged..Auckland crew were really great and understanding and an hour later we were on our way home.

Nats was funny.."they folded my wheelchair up".

What I think has happened is, when I got home, I noticed the fibre optic cable in a thick sheaf was somehow nicked as there was a gash and shorted something although the fuse was okay...no idea how they managed this as it is well within the wheelchair...

But did not spoil a wondeful time with Nats...

That just stinks about the wheelchair mate. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!! Hope it's back to its full powered self soon.

Glad you had a great time with Nats in Wellywood though. She will be chatting about it for ages, I bet.

Nice to meet you and Nats yesterday Graeme.

Hope there is some kind of successful compensation from Air New Zealand regarding the wheelchair. That kind of behaviour sucks big time..

Pity about the wheel chair trouble, good to hear the 'paper plane' made it back and Nats is a cool kid and was funny to joke around with. Good to meet both of you.

Good to hear we could get our respective wheelchairers together. Sean doesn't get out much and he's a terrible burden on his parents.

Was cruising on 'stick's this time buddy. Arguably slower than my chair but a shit load easier to get in and out of the Loser Cruiser I arrived in
