How do you keep warm at night?

Its not that kind of keep warm I need

I wear Dry rider gear with the liners also thermal top and bottom a shirt and a moahair jersey plus pants and the top half is still cold when i ride to work at night . I start at 11 pm and finish at 7am. What else can i wear under my gear to keep warmer.

I just wear a thermal T-shirt, full leathers and a neck warmer and i'm all good.

Leather's a really bloody hot..

Close all your air vents on your jacket and helmet if you don't already?

Get something like a Kathmandu Therma-tech top.. or similar...

or wear a rain jacket over top.. to keep the wind out!

Oxford make a top that's got a wind-stop material on the front and arms. Works pretty well.

They do a pants too but I found the top made the biggest difference for me.

make sure your "thermal" gear is actually polypropylene. If it doesn't SAY "100% polypropylene" on the label then it aint the good stuff. Go to the sports store and ask, or look on trademe. The best polyprop I have ever had was double-force zip-up polo neck, but I've never been able to find this again. Wear it against yer skin, or maybe with a beater under it.

I like the electric blanket, would look pretty funny me wraped up in one on the bike .

You can get 100% Merino thermal tops from the factory shop on Tremain Monie. Really warm and toastie

. Or maybe get a plug on the Ninja for your electric blanket?

Its time for the winter gloves too-I find if my hands get cold then everything else soon follows.

on long rides...
hot water bottle on the front (just refill at each gas stop), girlfriend on the back.

short rides...
harden the f*ck up... or wear a hoodie **underneath** other gear. Or just ride faster and shorten the journey

Or just buy some SKINZ

although i definately wouldn't wear them under your leathers ..you'd probably pass out from overheating yourself ,but under codura would definately work.

Mind you they are bloody expensive if your only using it for the bike

but id say their isnt much better than a full Skinz kit

Something around your neck to stop the drafts - a buff or similar. I also find it makes a big difference when I wear something around my wrists (sweatband kinda things) to make sure there is no breeze up the arms.
