    Found this article in the Press clips published at work today.

    International — A new website shows how roads can be designed with the safety of motorcyclists in mind. It's www.motorcycleguidelines.org.uk and it explains how motorcycles should be considered in policy, design, maintenance and parking.

    Ahh, but that presumes:

    A) The govt gives a shit about bikes (except as a source of revenue);
    B) The govt is intelligent and foresighted; and
    C) The govt will spend money on anything except public servants and junkets for themselves.

    D) Huge payments for the least productive members of society in order to try to buy them enough votes to win the next election and truly fuck the country up.

    Yes that would be a good leaf to take but im sure there are many more leaves that are bad, in particular the ones about spying on everyone.

    Ignore the unconstructive comments - this is an excellent find. I will be discussing this with some of the Auckland road planning groups shortly, and have already extracted various parts of it to feed into some work I am doing. Excellent work - thanks!

    I agree with the above comments. A seriously good find and well worth putting on this site.

    Thanks for comments. I am not worried about the people who arent thinkin outside the square. These things have to start somewhere. I will be interesting in hearing how you get on when you discuss it.

    Your biggest hurdle as I see it is the cost/benefit ratio, used to calculate how how much is spent where and on what by the roading authority.

    When I questioned our Council roading engineer about the use of cheesecutter WRB's, he replied "yes we can do it better, but it comes down to $$"
