    Hamilton 400

Just went for a drive around the circuit that they'll be using for the Hamilton 400 and all I can say is HOLY FUCK I wish there was bike racing on that circuit.

Put up some Air Fence and it'd be fantastic. It's bumpy but not excessively so. For bikes there's a shitload of room around 80% of the track with some hard bastard passing spots on the rest. There's a couple of spots where run off would be a problem but nothing like the end of Paeroa's back straight. But there's grip everywhere. The entire circuit has been repaved using hotmix, not loose chip.

Just saw murphy on 3 news driving round the track and its starting to look pretty good down there

Hamiltonians how much is it hampering traffic down there while they are setting track up i was a backer for having the V8's in Auckland but thanks to Dick"i'm no fun"Hubbard pulling the pin (he may have some valid points) can only imagine what auckland would be like to get around.

In a Previous thread by Metal Trousers "hamilton 400" He went round the circuit and Murphy said that the lap time 1 Minute 20 seconds

Idiots who think they're going to see something happen half way down the straight. I had a fantastic view on the outside of turn 2, one of the busiest parts of the track for incidents. I was less than 3m away from where the rear view mirrors were scraping along the concrete.

There really were some fantastic places to watch around the circuit. For some reason people always seem to think the best places are on the straights but they aren't. The best are usually on the corners, especially where they come out.

i spent most of the day around turn 2 on saturday the first time i heard the cars i was walking over the overbridge from seddon park to founders theatre and half way accross this rumble and roar went under me and echoed in the tunnelled brigde i just started grinning and doing the good old "tim the tool man taylor" grunt

Hamilton and NZ should consider themselves proud what hamilton did down there was Fantastic next year i'm going to take all 3 days off and go

those who had to pay for tickets how much was the 3 day pass including pit pass
