    Mozilla Thunderbird

I have just run Mozilla Thunderbird as my email but after logging on I get a timed out notice. What does this mean and how do I stop this from happening.

The second query is I have transferred my address book over but do not know how to transfer folders and messages from Outlook to Mozillia. Any help and ideas anyone :spudwhat: :spudwhat:

Have you tried the import function? Tools > Import. This then gives you an option of importing an address book or mail from Outlook or Endura.

As for timing out - I suspect that your SMTP or POP 3 configurations haven't been set up properly so it's unable to find your mail server, be it online (I guess) or locally. Check what both these addresses are in Outlook. Depends on which one you're running dictates where you'll find this. Is it Outlook or Outlook Express?

I'm surprised to hear it didn't work first time. I swaer by Thunderbird and use Firefox as my browser. So much better than Internet Explorer and Outlook.

Hang on in there buddy - it's worth it.
