Got an old Honda Cub C50 at the back of your shed?

I've convinced my sister to get a Honda Cub. I'll convince girlf(r)iend next, but we'll start with my sister first.

Anybody got a Cub 50cc somewhere? Any condition at least considered. Would be an interesting and rewarding restoration of one of these I'd think -- plus, sister gets to choose what colour she'd like if we repaint it. Of course, minters are also considered.

I've seen the three on Trademe and I'm mulling over them.

Does anybody know what the deal is with registering a lapsed-rego moped? Seeing as that's what we'll probably register it as. Do you need to do the whole VIN thing, or just ask the post office for a little sticker?

    Cheers.

    .

Moped rego requires no VIN. All you do is fill out an "MR2B" at NZ Post or AA office, hand over money, and you get reg label and plate handed over.

Not for long though. Proposals under way to have mopeds inspected first.

Excellent. Thanks very much for that information.

    Better get one quickly then

So, nobody's got a sad, neglected, lapsed-rego Honda Cub with 50cc sitting around? A good-looking (hell, she is my sister) young rich (scholarships FTW!) teenager wants to give you cash.
