Red face Start your week with a difference

    Well I did today anyhow

About an hour into work this morning whilst working on a bloody Honda TRX300 I dislocated my thumb Heard & FELT it go
Pulled my hand out from under the body work to see the thumb pointing in a rather bizarre direction, added a few words to the dictionary and in a moment of red-mist managed to pop it back into place (can't quite decide what was worse it coming out or going back in ).
Spent the rest of the day tentatively doing things but it's bloody tender & has swollen up a fair bit with signs of a good bruise working it's way out.

One good thing came of the day though the boss has sent a nice healthy pay rise my way dunno if it's out of sympathy or making up for one being over due

Anyhow remember kids be careful fiddling with your hands in places where you can't actually see them

It'll be at least a year before it's back to full strength Bill, take it easy or you'll be back to square one.

First time for me thought I'd broken the sod when I saw it

It was the right hand, lucky I'm left handed

I've heard how the tendons go slack for a bit and once they go it's easy to do again, but at the moment it's twice the size of the other one & stiff so will see what she's like when it settles down

I managed to break the small bone leading to the knuckle of my little finger and dislocate the knuckle. Fortunately the local Doc was very kind and gave me a local anaesthetic before "adjusting" it!

I was only 15 at the time...
