    What wrong with my VFR?

Apologies for another "my bike is broke" thread.
About a week ago I noticed a slight drop in low-end power (very slight). This disappeared for a bit so I didn't think much of it. Then a couple days ago I tried starting it to no avail. 20+ attempted bump starts later, it started rumbling but seems to be running very rich and flooding at the drop of a hat (struggles to idle). I took it once around the block and theres no power at all.
I gave Spectrum a call, but apparently they're bogged down with work at the moment and don't have time to diagnose/fix.

Any help with diagnosis or recommendations for a mechanic would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Carl.

Frenchy and JimJim you deserve infractions for being plain unhelpful.

hazard02 - you would probably had more luck if you posted this in Bike Mechanics. Try asking again in the fuelling section. The problem is undoubtedly in the carburetors somewhere.

Have you run the fuel tank dry recently? What's the state of the air filter in the bike? It's possible you have a blockage in the pilot jet of one of the carbs which is messing with the fuel/air combination.

How good are you at pulling carbs off and cleaning them out? Is there a difference between throttle response when the bike is under load or in neutral?

    I'm picking dirty carbs here.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I gave the air filter a thorough blast with an air compressor to flush out any dust etc, but it was relatively clean to start with. Experience wise, I've disassembled and cleaned the simple carb from an FXR with a little help before, but I've read (and seen) that removal and disassembly of the carbs on an nc30 are an absolute nightmare, so I'm a little apprehensive to give it a go unless I'm sure thats what needs doing.

    Time to update...
A flush and clean of the carbs had it running, but not as well as it used to. I fell sick with the flu, so when I was holed up in bed my old man siezed the opportunity to book it in for some "professional" attention. Apparently the plugs were the main issue this time (very dirty and a little loose), so after some new ones and a general tune she's running sweet.

Cheers for the suggestions and offers of help.

    Carl.
