After about 1km, the oil light comes on.... If I switch off the engine or just pull over it goes off and doesn't come back..
Oil level is spot on so have I got a pressure problem, sensor malfunction or something like that?!

I have a 94 FZR K1 and had the same sort of problem, did a “Goggle search” that set my mind at rest

Its sounds like its the same as the FZR. I run oil level at the top of the sight glass now and have had no problems. Safe Riding![]()

Now I'm impressed Yamaha, I've heard of plenty of engines that the light comes on when there is about 100ml of oil left!
