    Katana gearbox needed

This is on behalf of a work colleague.

2nd gear has dropped a tooth and they would like to source a complete gearbox.

    The details are :

    Suzuki Series 3 Katana
1985(or was it 1995?) TSX 750 ES (with pop up headlight)

    Cheers

    Deano

Does he need all the gears and shafts or can he just replace the faulty pair. Would probably be cheaper that way?

I'm not sure how mechanically minded he is but it is a DIY project. I was just asked if I could source a complete gearbox.

Do you have some bits ?

Another option may be getting the gear repaired

someone like Duralloy or Mike Jones Gears

I used Mike Jones years ago to have some TZ gearbox bits repaired and the service was ok and wasn't overly expensive

Just check around wreckers for a complete R703 engine, that's all that's used in SE & SF katanas and the ES,EF variants of the same generation
