eek Does any one have a bed/couch/floor in Auckland?

    Well... So another adventure begins!

As some of you may know, I've put a deposit on a GSXR up in Auckland... With the small problem of not having any transport up there! Lucy has been kind enough to offer me a ride up on Friday, the bike store is only open Saturday. Justin (gigoe1313) has offered to pick me up on Saturday and take me to the bike store.

Thanks to those guys I now only have one other thing to sort out ... A safe place to sleep

The other "small" thing is that Lucy will be going to the Lynfield area (she has offered to take me to central city) So I was wondering if any KB'er in those areas would be kind enough to let me stay Friday night at theirs?

I would be incredibly grateful and promise to be on my bestest behavior!

Well your family were wonderful enough to put us up for the last trackday, so I am pretty sure we can give you a spot (just need to check I am actually home that evening). We are not the closest to the city center (15 mins or so) but Justin can easily pick you up from here, or depending on work requirements on Saturday, I should be able to take you in to grab the bike.
    Let me know.

Hey Brett, thanks for the offer!

When will you know if you will be home? Also... Around what area are you? I need to check with Lucy that it's OK to go there.

If you can't it's not a problem and Sharry has offered for me to stay at hers the night

You can crash at our place if you like.
Justin lives about 5 minutes away and we are about 10 seconds off the motorway in Papakura. It would be about a 1 minute deviation for Lucy to drop you off.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

I will be home Friday from mid evening on. What time do you think you will be in Aucks? I live in Pakuranga which is not far off the motorway.
Another alternative is this; every friday I catch up with my family for a bit of dinner and then head home after (usually about 9:30/10:00). You are welcome to be dropped off at their place on Stancombe Rd, Dannemora which is close to the motorway offramp (Highbrook Dr or Manukau - about 4 mins away). You can then come home with us which will mean Lucy doesn't have to deviate too much from her course. Then, in the morning, either I or Justin can run you through to pick up the new beasty.

And if its a no-go, we can always put you up for the night! Just gotta watch out for being over-fed by my mum since she insists everyone needs to eat more!

Got a spare room with bed Jaz, so you got options galore! I'm easy, any excuse for a ride I say!

There's a spare bed on the Shore for you if the others don't work out.

    Wow! Thanks every one

I don't really know where to go too now Brett, really appreciate the offer but that sounds a bit more complicated then the others lol.

I have no idea when I will arrive in Auckland which is one more little hitch... So might help to narrow it down if some one is free from mid arvo onwards or something? I don't want to get in any ones way so even if it's just so I can drop my gear there, then I'm sure I can find somewhere to entertain myself 'till later in the evening.

Have sent Justin a PM to see whether it's easier for him to pick me up in the mornin or for me to be there in the first place lol.

No worries. Either way, if you need somewhere to crash (and / or a ride to the bike shop in the morning, flick me a txt on Sorry it isn't as straight forward as it should be! Normally I am much more simple

He would pass through Taupo several times each day on a "pootle", so that shouldn't be a hassle.

Hey just found this thread. We plan to pick up Meeky about 2.30pm, so will probably get to Auckland about 6? Not too sure as we are travelling with two puppies and it's their first big road trip! Anyway, dropping her off is not a problem, I love driving in Friday night traffic - it reminds me that I don't miss it at all! Obviously the South side of the bridge would be most convenient, but no big dramas either way.

I'd offer her a bed at my Mother in Laws, but a young thing in Auckland on a Friday night before buying a bike shouldn't be doomed to spending the evening at an old folks home that has no motorcycles in the garage!

    Big huge thanks too....

Lucy for taking me up there
R6_Kid for lettin me crash the night
Gijoe1313 for picking me up and taking me to the store
Donor and ... Uh oh... Memory loss! I think it was Phil? Donor or Gijoe could you please correct me if I'm wrong! But these guys came with Gijoe to escort us from Gareth's to the bike store and then rode with us to just out of Auckland
Zeocen, was nice to finally meet you
And last but not least... Gwinch for riding all the way back with me.. Even through the rain!

Holeshot Motorcycles was great to deal with so I'd highly recommend them to any one looking for a bike.

Any hoo... This is just a quick thing to say I'm home safe and sound and thanks to every one who helped me out

Glad you made it home with your snazzy new bike!

Looks like gijoe and I turned back just in time, he took the 'justin' way home (I literally collapsed on Donor's deck afterwards) and we seemed to miss all the rain.

Very nice bike, hope you have fun with it
