Yeah but these are people who sleep in until midday, mind you I was up at that time and now I'm at work...although I am huddled over a cup of coffee.

Quick tip CSL - if you cant go to sleep, dont try. go read a book or surf the net, something to get you off the "must get to sleep" mentality. Most importantly, get out of bed. I find that the longer I lie there, the harder sleep is to get. Much better to get a routine which says "bed = sleep." It doesnt sound like much, but it makes a subtle difference to your perceptions and patterns.

    Thanks Milky.

Actually I found out this morning that it wasn't my female flatmate & her g/f making all the noise, it was my male flatmates g/f (who none of us have met). My room is upstairs but, my other flatmate is directly across from him & her & her g/f could hear a lot more than they wanted to! It explains why he had a BIG grin on this morning when I saw him.

So they woke the whole house up!

Hmmmph. I've never dared to let myself get into MMORPGs, lest my wife become another EverCrack widow. NetHack was bad enough in my student days, I'm convinced I lost significant grade points due to 3am 'just ONE more turn' moments.

Ahhh, the sounds of flatmates in flagrante delicto...

Those were the days. One erstwhile flatmate responsible for depriving the rest of the flat of nighttime slumbers for days at a stretch had a badly sprung double bed that had piles of bricks for legs, a screamer for a girlfriend and a penchant for accompanying the whole sordid racket with Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow" was never truer...
"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]
