Motocross boots in Auckland - where to buy?

We're off to Auckland in a few days and my husband is keen to replace his aging motocross boots. He did buy a gorgeous pair of Axo ones in Australia but unfortunately when he got them home they didn't fit well with his knee guards so he's sold them and will keep looking for a new pair.

Could anyone please give us advice on which shops would have a good range of motocross boots - he takes about a 9 I think (NZ size) so he shouldn't have a problem finding boots to fit. He's a canny shopper so isn't keen to spend huge money on a new pair - the Aussie ones were about NZ$250 on special and were the right colours (red, black and white to match his other gear) so he was really disappointed when he discovered they weren't comfortable.

Shop names and addresses would be appreciated - he knows the main shops there but says he'd heard there were some dirt bike oriented shops just out of Auckland that he'd be keen to visit.

I was going to suggest Motomail on College Hill - just up from Victoria Park Market. They have a good MX range, but other shops which are "more" MX focused?

Thanks for that, Motomail is always on his list but if anyone else has any hints on other shops that stock a good range of motocross boots, let me know today!

If you are passing through Hamilton call in and see us at Waikato Yamaha. Our parts guys stock a good range of boots and are all motocross riders.

You were on the list too - we saw your ads on Trade Me and thought you could be worth a look! Andy isn't keen to buy online as he needs to try the boots with his knee protectors, etc. Can you give me a street address so we can find you tomorrow?

Forget that - just clicked on the link to your website!

Cycletreads on the shore has a good range, and last time I was there a few weeks ago had quite a range of end-of-line sales. Wild West Honda in New Lynn has a fairly small but good range and had some sale stuff. Mt Eden Bikes had few MX boots and no sales last time I was in there a few weeks ago.

I wear shin pads under my Fox Forma Pros and love them to bits. Very adjustable.
    Good luck!

Thanks everyone, we stopped in Hamilton and had a look at Waikato Yamaha - two good boots he liked but wasn't 100% sure so he kept looking. He ended up getting a pair of 661 boots from Cycletreads at a really good price and he's thrilled to bits. He also got a jacket from Motomail... and on the way home we stopped at Boyd Suzuki and I bought some pants... whoops, expensive trip!

Thanks to Jen at Boyd Suzuki, extremely helpful but never pushy. Only went in there to check out a bike for a mate, so well done to her for not letting me leave without new (and very comfortable) bike pants! I'd happily deal with her in future for other purchases.
