    My hobby.

I've Had a hobby/passion for a fair few years. It sometimes makes me a few dollars sometimes I break even and sometimes it looses me a few dollars.
I buy broken motorbikes and fix em up then sell em.
Sometimes they take me months to finish -sometimes only days.
It gives me the chance to own and ride bikes i otherwise could only dream of having.
It's been bugging me not being totally honest with you lot -especially when ya see me on yet another "new" bike.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

    I'd kinda figured that Frosty.

Beats the hell out of collecting stamps.

    Good on ya!
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

It's a rotten job, but someone has to do it
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

merv I worked it out a couple of years ago.
My hobby in that 12 month period in total cost me $350.
BY that I spent $350 more than I made
Keep in mind that doesn't take into account the hours and hours of labour I put in -If i allwed that at say $30 an hour Itd be more like --aww shit i don't wannna think about it --but a lot lol
But I got to ride 4 bloody nice bikes for a couple of months each.

I got the same hobby - cept I make no money at all out of it.People used to just give me bikes that didn't go,sometimes to pay for some work I did, sometimes someone says they have some old bike (I'm still waiting for some dusty old unused Vincent that costs $1) If I don't like the bike I'll just leave it to rot,if it's something I might ride I'll make a runner of it.I was once given an old Puch scooter I dragged from under a hedge,it was easy to make it a runner and I used it for a couple of years as something just for fun.It wasn't registered of course - and I was determined that if it so much as even stalled at the lights I was gunna pull the plate and walk home - but it never did and someone offered me money for it.
