    WHOOOOAAAAAA there nelly!!!

Well, after getting there, set up, and the first round of races out the way, I was all set to go like hell in the second F2 race. Two warm up laps, bike feels great and I'm ready to rock and roll. Flag drops and I get an uncharacteristicly good launch, lead the pack out of turn one and onto the back straight, (Might not have been infront of the pack now that I think of it, but top three for sure,) half a dozen come past me at half distance of said straight, but I'm primed for a demon braking session......

Demon was right, i was first to the turn, but right when you'd expect a rider to actually tip in, I was leaping off and praying to Alah. As it turned out, the second I touched the brakes, a line that had been rubbing on my tyre decided to let go all together. FUCK, NO BRAKES AT ALL!

As I got off, I went all emu like. Buried my head in the sand something fierce. Shame that, since my head was the first thing to touch the ground, adn it stopped DEAD. Rest of me wasn't playig that game and I had a rather sore neck for my efforts.

Anyhoo, I'm OK, the bike suffered less damage than any other crash I've had, and I now know to run the front fender in future so the lines cant get to the tyre.

Thanks heaps to the marshals and ambulance crew, fantstic stuff I will always be greatfull for.

Race report will be up some time, I've got a new proceedure to wrap my mellon around.

Cripes mate that's no way to win races - glad you're OK to be on here telling us about it . What would the Hoff had done in such circumstances?
    Cheers

Was it you that bailed into Ford corner, borrowed a mates bike, and kept on going?

Funny.. we were just talking about whether scrutineering would make a fuss about the missing front fender.

Was pretty scarey when I saw a bike in front of me go flying off the back straight into the dirt at warp factor 'huge', then realising it was YOU in amongst the dust bowl! I thought geeze babe that aint the line you told me to take!! then coming over the hill seeing red and ambo flags waving

That horrible heart in mouth feeling. But huge relief that you were looking kind of up when we rode back past.

Big thanks to the marshalls for giving such fast assistance and the ambo's for putting up with his cheek and taking him to hospital, and of course the grid marshalls for coming and keeping me informed when we got back to the grid that Drew was ok and....... for giving me his grid position in the last protwin race

Sounds like the bike decided not to join you. Good thing too or you might have ended up like this guy...
