Could always get a 400 and stick 250 stickers on it. Most cops wouldn't notice

I don't agree, however most RGV/TZR by now have had a sucession of owners had the nuts thrashed off them by everyone of them and quite often not maintained as it should have been and I think that's where a lot of the problems come from

Same...my rgv has had a hard life but served me faithfully. It all comes down to maintenance. I went to replace the rings once and upon reassembly noticed one of the pistons had a 1cm crack in the skirt. Just as well I decided to do it then otherwise it would've junked my engine and I'd be bagging 2-strokes now too!!!

Can you still get Castrol TTS?, was the best smelling 2-stroke oil out, thats about 10yrs ago thou.

Had a NSR, great toy but siezed and highsided me. Only had about 32,000 on the clock and recent new rings.

Stop bagging two strokes TS, you know you love them.... I feel a RG vs RGV race here (just to boost my ego )

I know first hand when they go bang they really go but fuck they are fun and so cheap compared to the four strokes, might aswell buy an RGV with a fucked engine for 1000 and spend 5000 absolutely rebuilding the engine to new rather than buy a 4 stroke because they are apparently "more reliable"
