Post 1998 Blue Colour Yamaha R1

    Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying the rear seat and its cover for my R1. :spudwave: i'm from Germany, just arrived here 2 months ago. I just bought a R1 which only have a single seat. I found a wrecker that have the second hand rear seat and the cover, but it costs $400. It's a bit dear. Please let me know if you are selling this part or otherwise you might be able to tell me where to get one that doesn't cost as much as $400. Cheers.

    Hi, and welcome to NZ.
Firstly, let me congratulate you on a fine choice of motorcycle there

Have a look on Trade Me aswell as on Trade and Exchange. With the last one, it might be best if you stop by a news agents, and pick up a hard copy of the Trade and Exchange.

Either that, or do it like they do here, walk around town till you see a bike with what you want, and just nick it

    Enjoy NZ, and your bike.
    Regards,
    David.

    Hi StoneChucker,

Thank you for your advice. I have tried many different sources, ringing dealers, checking on trade me, reading the mags and newspaper, talking to people online and etc. It's hard to find it in NZ. I will i will try Australia. So far i have found a few wreckers and dealer in Aussie have them, now it's just a matter of seeing the photos or might need to go over to there to have a look.

Hey, NZ is the best country in the entire world. :spudwave: I'm 44 and i have been riding my motorbike when i was 20 years of age. In Germany the road is quite different from NZ. It's easy to ride overthere. It's a bit more mountain and hills in Auckland. when i first riding in Auckland, i found it a bit difficult. :confused2 I think i have get the hang of it now.

Finally, i hope i can get the rear seater soon, wish to ride my R1 with my girlfriend here. I'm sure she will enjoy the ride.

    Cheers

Good stuff. Keep an eye out in the 'Meetings & Events' forum, and some of the guys can show you the real roads around the place.
    Because I can...
