I read in an interview, with livio suppo (duke team head) and he was the other duke riders for being inconsistent. Not sure how much influence they have on that team though. Other riders also mentioned were hayden and ben spies i think?

Pity (although hardly surprising) Stoner is only paying $1.65. Spies on the other hand is paying $60.00. The last wild card rider to win me good money was Abe in Japan years ago!

Did you notice Glen, the on board shots and sounds from the Yamaha sounded more conventional ? (got my Rossi hat on here again )
I just can't get past the fact that the Ducati has something special about it.
I've been very lucky in that I have spent a full day in the motogp pits Mugello a year before last. All of the techs know each other pretty well and what each rider can do, I've yet to hear anyone say Stoner can out ride Rossi.
At that level computers have to make the difference , don't they ? Gaz.

Yeah Bill , Monday will reveal all ! enjoy !!

Year before last Gaz, Stoner was on a satelite Honda and I'm sure no one was saying Stoner could outride Rossi then. It's all too easy to say the Ducati is the reason Stoner is winning, but last year it was because Rossi had inferiour tyres, this year because what? He's the only one that can ride the thing...he's twisting the go fast grip better than anyone else. I stand by my comments at the beginning of the year mate...Rossi won his last championship in '05'. He won't be winning another. Someone faster than you always comes along.

Well he certainly has at Assen, Donnington and now in Germany. NONE of those tracks have ANYTHING to do with power. The Yamaha is basically as fast as the Ducati now anyway...funny eh!! And all of Rossis moaning about tyres...jumping ship after he got preferential treatment at Michelin for years. Funny how Pedrosa was winning the championship on them until his 'biff'.

That's half the reason I hope Stoner gives him a hiding. One less excuss for Rossi.

    Well said Pete.

Hey Gaz, I really believe that Stoner is the best performing rider in '08. He has been consistently fast and smooth - with only the one DNF due to a 'technical' fault. (Whereas the other contenders have dropped it.) He has dealt with a down on performance package with maturity - by just 'bringing it home'. He deserves to win in 2008.

Yeah definately, he did however not ride the smartest at Jerez (running off track two times) but I think he learnt a great deal from that. Rossi made a big mistake at assen and pedrosa too at sachsenring which leaves it one bad race a piece on rider effort, the only other bad luck has been stoner with his mechanical issue at le mans.

Bring on the rest of the season. I wonder if pedrosa will switch to the pnuematic honda after brno??

Rossi has been great for the sport but the tyre dummy spit leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Stoner and Pedrosa are taking things to a new level. Every corner Stoner takes is a physics piss-take. And Pedrosa crashing out of a 7 sec lead after 3 laps (on Michelins) bought a tear to the eye (Schwantz would approve). Plus Dovisioso (top miche finisher by a lot), Lorenzo (when fit), is the end near for the King?

I believe when Bridgestone told Rossi to piss of they didn't need him, Rossi threatened to leave moto GP unless he got them.

    THAT is sad.

Should have put a clause that he only gets to use them next year if he won the championship

I'd say what he should've done is shown a little faith in Michelin and stayed with them.
