Like I said...come by work. We're gonna spark up the barbie and have bacon sanwiches whilst we watch it.

Says who? Rossi? Like they'd pay him what he asks for when they have a guy on the payroll that's faster. Unless of course they'd like to finish 1-2.

I think 1 and 2 would be better than 1 and last like they have lately. However Melandri for a top 5 finish at Laguna!

Melandri in the top five at Laguna? Dunno what you're smoking...but it must be powerful.

He ran top 5 most of the practice sessions, and you can discount anyone on Michelins, they have really dropped the bundle! Some of the Michelin guys have been running intermediates on a dry track, just trying to get some heat into their rubber.

Brilliantly thought-out pre race by Rossi & implemented to perfection.

It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

    THAT is sad.
Just as well Rossi realised the importance of tyres & dug his toes in then, - why race if you cant compete ?

Michelin have still had a couple of 'bogey' tracks this year...Laguna being one of them (although Dovisioso finished fourth I see), but Pedrosa was leading the championship on them! So I think if Rossi had stayed with them I'm sure he'd be pretty much where he is anyway!

I think the team (Burgess/Rossi) - had a pretty good idea of what package they needed to get closer to the Ducati camp. Stoner/Ducati is the No1 bike, - So if you have the same tyres as they have then thats one less thing that you have to try & bridge the gap over.
Things like tyres/fuel etc are the types of things that the team cant control in respect to their manufacture, - they CAN control almost all other aspects of the bike because they manufacture it.
So it is becomes very important to have a package at least somwhere close to the world championship winning bikes package to be "in the hunt".

I do believe that Michelin have lifted there game also this year - & no doubt much of the development will be driven to "prove" Rossi was wrong & teach him a lesson for snubbing their product.

Its gonna be a close season - & i picked Stoner to win it at the beginning with Rossi second. My heart hopes that I am wrong , but my gut tells me Stoner is still very much in the hunt.

My guess is that with Stoner now being in a deficit position of one DNF points-wise, he will push very hard - this may be his un-doing (or it may be his making)

    Cant wait aye Crasher !

I believe Stoner will do the business too.
