I obviously need to cultivate a motorcycle racing friendly friend, with Sky TV, in my neighbourhood so I can watch this stuff. It's difficult hearing about it second hand.

So who's gonna win this weekends GP then eh??

Even if it's pissing down I doubt Chris 'V' will again. Man he and Suzuki seem to be struggling.

I think as an outside chance Dovisioso may do the bizz!

Have you read Soup's Traction Control article?

Thanks Bill, interesting stuff. What a great asset JB is. There are some very clever men back in the pits doing the thinking.A lot of them are Kiwis and Aussies strangely enough, whys that ? Gaz.

Can't find it now - but someone on here made some excellent points about Rossi. And that made me realise that yes, Rossi could be ranked as the best ever, no matter what he does in the future. (Don't FFS tell Gaz I said that!)

    As the guy wrote.
He's been 125cc and 250cc World Champion. He's won the MotoGP Championship on a 500cc Two Stroke then adapted to win the MotoGP title on a Four Stroke with Honda, changed to the underdog (at that time) Yamaha and won on that too. Then adapted again to now be the 800cc top contender. A pretty good resume to put on his CV and one that not many will replicate.

Yes, and in key positions too. Just thinking also Gaz. Where would Ducati be without their Aussie riders??

After Stoner, who's the best performer in MotoGP??

And after Baylis, who's their best performer in WSBK??

The Aussies with Kawasaki and Suzuki aren't looking that flash as yet (unless it rains).
Superbike have a few placegetters but no one that stands out like Bayliss .
But lets face it the Aussies are way ahead of anything NZ can front up with, bout time we had someone better than average. My hope is in the young Sam Smith. Gaz.

The MSMA have finally decided what sort of bike they would like to replace the 250s.

The Japanese factories suggestion for prototypes based on 600s will go forward to the next stage. The Dorna/IRTA view is that it should be 625-650cc in-line engines with control ECU and control data logging plus a minimum weight limit on individual components with free chassis regulations. Costs will be held down by a rev limit (policed with the standard data logging) and the minimum weight rules.

No word on replacing 125's with diesels Bill ? I'm a big 250 fan and would prefer the Two Strokes to stay.
Honda will push for their preference of 4 Stroke no doubt . Just like Ducati pulling strings in WSB.
That little Spaniard found something extra Sunday night didn't he ? Rossi used his head as usual, coming thru from 9th to a safe second. Gaz.

Giday Gaz. I am not sure which way to go? The 250 class produces some incredible racing. Perhaps because it's almost a one make class? With the major factories committed to the GP class why would they want to put their eggs into another development class? Wouldn't it become another SuperSport class?

Yeah. I think the Spanish pygmy even took himself by surprise?? Rossi is a master tactician when it comes to overtaking. Probably the best in that area? Ever?
Some Interesting Times in Day One of Testing:

    What do you guys think:
    1) Will Kallio go to MotoGP?
    2) Will he be competitive?

Amazing isn't it, how with a little more time , the setups produce 41's the very next day !
Did ya see Pedrosa on tippy toe after the race waving to the crowd ?
(I went out with a chick that size for a while, buts thats another story!)

Kallio comes across as a thinker, I don't doubt he could do well in 800's. He was always there in 125's as well. Gaz.

I think you'll find all those times were set on qualifying tyres. Stoner was said to go 2 tenths faster on race tyres (which is to be expected) but the 1.41's were all set on qualifying tyres. Pedrobot also crashed and was sent to hospital.
