Second is the fastest loser

DB is the new Porridge. Cause most of the mods must be sucking his cock ..... Or his giving them some oral help? How else can you explain it?
yea everyone reckons schwantz was a rocket ship but he suffered the same issue as biaggi, and many others with the dreaded bin it or win it syndrome.
but to say he was the best only for a fleeting moment is a joke. ok so he wasn't the smartest about winning, but in raw speed he had oodles of it.
Rossi is a great racer, the complete package - speed, brains and flair. But to say has always been the fastest is a wee exageration. When he isn't the fastest he has other tricks, and its that which makes him a magician. for much of this year i would say he wasn't the quickest out there but he raced smart.
Don't forget Lawson.
He was another guy who managed to win on two marques.
I watched him at Phillip Island once - arrived for qualifying in a Limo with blacked out windows, went straight to his motor home, got changed and walked straight to his pit with his helmet on. He did his qualifying laps, straight back to the motor home with his helmet still on, changed, hopped into the limo and left. He didn't appear to be enjoying his-self...
Also there is the possibility that the bike is built to suit Stoner. Hayden complained long and loud that the latest version of Honda was built for Pedrosa and just didn't suit his riding style.
This of course opens the door to a discussion about the fact that the 800's suit the fast cornering style of the ex-125/250 (mainly Euro) riders and not the dirt track style of US/Aussie brigade of yore. That leads to a left-field theory about the new formula was designed by Dorna to suit the Latin riders (and how many races do they have in Spain & Italy?)....
An interesting Poll On Nicky H:
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
I was at Phillip Island in 1989 and 1990 in a 250 pit.
If you watch the coverage carefully you can see me and Kev on the 500 grid, pre race.
Lawson, Gardner, Rainey, Sarron, Schwantz and Doohan.
Giants still strode the Earth in numbers...
These days we only seem to see a few great ones.
