So Bill, seeing as how Sete has done so well, the bike is a rocket ship and the reason the other Duc riders aren't up with Stoner is they're not fast enough ? It doesn't sound by that article that Ducati want Sete back full time, athough now they know Marco has a problem ? Gaz.

Yeah Gaz, it's a bit of a conundrum eh. We know that the Duke is quick! And either; Marco's lost it - or hasn't the technique to make it work for him? It seems to come down to one of those for Sete to come back like that and go quickly from the go.

As for Sete jumping on to Marco's bike, that might be a contractural problem??
    Interesting times.

BTW. Where would Ducati be without Aussie riders. If you rocked up to the Ducati factory with an Aussie passport I think you would get a toe in the door. I wouldn't mind betting Brendan Roberts is shunted up the SBK ladder. Cheers, Bill.

I have the Aussie passport, but I'm less than attractive with bugger all hair and can't ride for shit !
Young Fabio is a far better bet though probably not in the good books after bowling the other Duc last meet, but he is Italian ?
Brendan Roberts must be well up the list. Don't ya love those superstock races ? gaz.

I wonder how much info the Stoner camp & Melandri camp share. You would hope that it was everything - but its hard to explain Melandris slide back in performance overall & this has been at a wide number of tracks as well.

Ducati have "found something" - but we wont find out what until the end of the season no doubt !

Was it true that they were using the fuel overflow catch tank to actually hold extra fuel last year (& hence the quicker bike) ?

When watching the on-bike data stuff on the telly , Its easy to see that Stoner is hitting the gas & getting 100% throttle well before Rossi does - So the traction control/power delivery control programming must be quite different I suspect.

Rossi is the King for getting out of corners on lines that others dont seem to be able to achieve, So whatever it is thats Stoner & His team are doing , - Its pretty damm impressive stuff.

Pedrosa's style & psyche reminds me very much of Alex Criville - A stunning rider , but susceptible to mind games & on-track agression from other riders.

Yes - he is Italian. And that may well be the problem. Temperament? Hot one minute, cold the next. Lanzi fits that as well.

NO NO. Don't quote me Val!!! He lives in London doesn't he?? (Or that's what he told IRD.)

Yeah Glen. It would be most interesting if we were able to see Marco jump straight onto a Honda. Hypothetical I know, but, the result would provide some answers to the riddle.

Not so sure about my picks for the next place getters - Malandri and Vermuelen??

Not sure the result will be any different. Here comes the Stoner express.

I can tell you first hand how demoralizing being a sec back in qualifying is.
Not at that level of course...but it still feels the same!

I'm happy with my picks Rossi ,Pedrosa, Stoner for 08 !!!!!
Yeah guys I've been waiting for qualifying , I did hear Stoner was fastest and I did see him jumping off this morning on sky news.
Edwards isn't a problem for the front guys , even if he does qualify well, and Rossi can win from behind no probs anyway ! (how that for confidence ?)

I see in 'Rapid Mag', Gardner seems to think Rossi is still the main man and that Kawasaki should get someone to sort the handling rather than get more HP out of it.
Anyway boys, hopefully the Yamaha will be sorted on race day ? Gaz.

Sorry to tell ya gaz but that red rocket is gonna win this weekend and next pedrosa, hayden, rossi and edwards can battle the minor placings out. Maybe if Hayden gets the pnuematic honda dialed in at leguna he could give stoner a run for his money?

Go Sete, be good to see if someone can actually get that duke going fast apart from the auzzie boy. I heard that Kwaka may possibly run 3 bikes for the rest of the year when Sete kicks Marco out of Ducati??.

Edit: Rain at Saschenring first thing today so could make for a few surprises in qualifying.
