...and it'll be a long one.
How about Gabor Talmacsi in the Scot Honda team? That's a bit of a surprise. He was well back at Catalunya, but I'm sure he'll improve.

"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

Ducati rider Casey Stoner thinks he may suffering a form of chronic fatigue syndrome. Stoner ended the opening practice session physically exhausted, just as he has done at the end of the previous two races in Barcelona and Assen. He was third in both those races.
Despite new medication. Stoner was feeling tired, weak, and nauseous just 30 minutes into the one-hour session although he finished with the third fastest time behind Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.
Stoner said his condition was similar to how he finished the Dutch TT at Assen six days ago where the exhaustion also triggered stomach cramps andvomiting. The 2007 World Champion said he was also suffering arm pump and having to brake early, which limited his performance.
"The reason I’m getting exhaustion -- I have no idea," Stoner said. "We still have no insight into what’s going on and there’s just no reason for it. I feel good during the week and then as soon as anything happens, I’m just dead. So until we find this out, I think we’re going to just keep running into the same issue."
Stoner has consulted his doctor by telephone and has also spoken at length with his personal trainer in Australia.
The thought is that his illness could be the fatigue syndrome -- Epstein-Barr is the medical term -- that once struck fellow Australian and AMA Superbike star Mat Mladin."This is a symptom which I’ve spoken to a doctor that I trust in Australia and they say this is quite a possible," Stoner said. "So hopefully with a lot of different ideas running around we can take the right tests and they can come up with exactly what it is. And it’d be nice that we could figure that out but at the moment we’re really struggling with it."
Stoner is uncertain just how he will cope with Sunday's 32-lap race in bid to maintain his stake in the world championship battle against Rossi and Lorenzo.
Stoner won at Laguna Seca in 2007 on the way to his world title win and was second last year after his brutal battle with Rossi in a thrilling race.
"I'll see how the weekend goes," hesaid. "We’re taking a few different things this weekend and we’ll just see if we can keep my energy levels up a little bit higher for longer during the race. I feel that these last three tracks we’ve had the pace to at least fight for the win even if I eventually get the same result.
"But I’m just watching them ride off into the distance and struggling to get around the track myself and keep the rest of the riders behind me. So it’s kind of boring races for me. I’m just sitting there trying to survive."
In the Catalunya and Dutch Grands Prix -- both won by Rossi -- Stoner was unable to respond to the front-running pace despite having what he considered to be a competitive Ducati package.
