spent some time reading up on this bloke today,interesting guy and as has been said very talented.

I've never tired of hearing Angel Fingers, See my Baby.. and Wizzard's Xmas song over the decades but I've never seen what he looks like until now!

Bet he would have been very entertaining to see live though.

'See my baby jive' was on 20 Solid Gold Hits Vol 5 and 'Angel Fingers' was on 20 Solid Gold Hits Vol 6.

Showing my age now especially if I have the actual records. LOL.

Two of the great classic songs of the 70s. Timeless songs IMO.

I did see The Wizards in Finland at a 3 day concert in approx 73 - 75? Roy walked out on the stage with raibow coloured hear, played a song and a bit, threw his guitar away and walked out. The rest of the band tried for a few songs but then gave up. Luckily there was many other class band at that concerst. Apperently he was not happy with the sound quality... Never really liked him after that.

Jeff Lynne of ELO and Roy could not agree. So he left the band and ELO became very successful. But more mainstream.

It seams that Roy was a tricky one to get along with. Perhaps why he made so many solo albums...
