    Made it back in one piece. Amazing ride and saw some awesome sights.

    Some vital stats. Total distance travelled 2926.2 kms. Average speed 76 kph. Hours on the move 38:02.

    Jeez ya rode like a nana at those speeds lol.

    Nice views of Stratford scenery,was overcast when we were there boxing day,thought of doing tiki tour to eastern region but ran out of time again.

    Cheers guys! Yep, damn time constraints, views and places like those are to be savoured. Mind you, the riding was totally awesome. Nearly lost the front between Wairoa and Napier on some wet tar today though and the winds south of Napier were 'trying'.

    the wind yesterday sure made riding "adventurous" to say the least. Windy from Taupo down, doing just over 120 across the plateau & was a mission just staying on the road, the lean angle must have been rather interesting as Mr plod looked but did not pull me over figured I was having enough trouble keeping her upright as it was.

    Flat hills, & V Hill was a bit like a washing machine wind from both sides at once, but Cheltenham to feilding was prob almost as bad as D road :

    pleased to be home for sure, New chain & tires are definitely required as chain is snatching alot (sprockets are not worn though) and rear tire is pretty sad but its done over 15,000 k so pretty happy with that.
