Jeezus! I had no idea. Not good news at all. Glad you're at least out of the hospital although it sure sounds like you went through the wringer - not mint! Shame about the bike but at least they're still making them...

[QUOTE=86GSXR;1939893]Most of you know I binned the Tiger on Sunday. I'm just out of hospital, 3 broken ribs, broken hand, and broken shoulder. Not mint, hurts like hell. Briuses and scrapes too. Two months off work at least.

    HTFU!!!

Looks like the bike will be a write off, that's fine by me except they don't do the 09 in blue. Well, I always had a hankering for black

Get the green vrsion circa 03-04?

I'd just like to say a great big thank you to all you guys who have visited, texted, and just been there

When ya weren't pretending to sleep

Good to see ya living and unharmed so to speak,a few aren't so lucky, and the hospital food aint that bad.

Can we use the helmet for target practice

Cheers chaps. I'm writing this with one hand so she's a bit slow. Yeah, went for a ride with Kerry Sunday morning. Over the track and as we come through the first set of twisties onto the uphill straight, the front let go during the turn. Managed to catch it but by the time that was sorted I was in a massively unstable oscillation (tankslapper) from which the only thing I could do was try and ride it out. That didn't work so I had to bail. Landed on my back REAL hard. All blank after that until Kerry had me sorted. About 20 Auckland RATS helped out too and I got an ambo ride to Palmy hospital.

My gear's not too bad and I've been on the phone to the insurance companies so hopefully won't be too long before I'm decked out again. Already had a new helmet lined up so will have that soon.

Ride safe out there! And HTFU yourself

Cheers Al, yep feeling waaaaay much better than I did a couple of days ago. Recuperating at Monamie's so anyone feel free to come visit and talk shit lol. Bike will be going into ANZA tomorrow, so I'll grab yr indicator of it before the insurance machine rumbles into action. I could get used to this time off lark ahhh.

Yeah no worries Al and I'm suprised it lived! Pity you toasted your front axle, as I could've done with a swap. I'll just beat the old one straight with a big hammer and keep it secret from Kerry!

Sounds like you're feeling a bit better than you were Sunday. It's a right pain in the arse but at least you're still here to crack bad jokes as it were...

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Hell of a shock seeing Helen still in hospital! Seemed in pretty good spirits though.
