It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Certainly did. Plan was Track-Mangamire. Didn't turn out that way as the mist was thick and decided to do North Range Rd. Awwwwsome road in from either end is is ok but the "Public rd" or "PUB IC ROAD " as one sign said in the middle linking the wind farms can only be discribed as a "PUB IC GOAT TRACK". Nothing a road going single could'nt traverse of course . Ruts and holes so big trials riders would be proud of, pond crossings- too big to be called puddles, the odd slip. Well worth it to give one an idea of how vast the wind farms actually are and a very nice veiw of the Manawatu. The mist on the other side looked like it stretched to Dannevirke and to at least to Alfredton with hills popping there peaks out of it. I'll take the camera next time. Real uncanny expereince coming down to just by the "Cafe Over the Bridge" at Ballance. Hills disappering and a windmill looking like something out of "War of the Worlds". Funny how is signed posted as no exit from that end.

Pity you did'nt taken the picture box, sounds like some awesome real time paintings would have come out of it.

that sounds like a mint day! On the right bike of course.
We spent the day at the food festival where we discovered that some peoples idea of mild curry can be anothers "holy fucking hell, are you trying to kill me" kind of thing.
    It was nice though.

Leaving Ashhurst Mobil about 10 am and going up highway 50 for anyone interested in coming for a ride, but be warned we wont be stopping every turn off, may stop in Vegas to pick up Sarge if hes coming otherwise right through to Napier, you may stop all you like on the way home
    Roll on Sunday
Where we stopping in Napier for lunch dude - will let old fogie know so he can he meet us. Also mangell6 (blue FZ-1) may join us at Ashhurst too. Apparently Koroj & Twosup are doing Route 52 on their way up...

if you feeling it might be a bit far for you then I will volenteer to take your bike. Just need petrol vouchers and your credit card and I should be able to get your bike through the trip.

good stuff. might see how things are progressing with Mrs C and take a detour on the way home, maybe not. Will make that one up on the fly.

Think I'll manage - and I don't think you'd want my credit card, might only get to Woodville on it. You can still come yaknow - we're gonna do the South Island, including the Buller Gorge!

Cool. I'm going to Napier then over to Havelock North to see the folks. After that I will be defenitely doing a back road bash home. Anyone who is keen can tag along. I'll be on the GB and wont be setting any land speed record. In other words I'll be going at a pace that suits slower riders.

Any slower Manawatu riders who want to tag along PM me with your bike details or range so fuel stops can be worked out.
