Pohangina Rd (Mrs Yod and I would like this one please )
Napier Rd (Ashhurst)
Ballance Gorge Rd
Ballance Valley Rd
Makomako Rd (track)
bridge onto pahiatua rd
turn at Pahiatua
turn out of Pahiatua on to Kaitawa Rd
Tane (to direct people straight ahead, possibly?)
Rongomai turn off
turn north onto SH2
turn off SH2 to Mangamaire
(possibly someone at thoe one lane bridge turn?)
Makomako Rd (turn back up towards track)
Aokautere

Personnal I think the Pahiatua turn off towards Alfredton should be at the BP south end of Pahiatua.

Also cut out the Traimain Av portion. Get out of the city limits quicker. Less traffic lights to contend with. And cut across to Bunnythorpe then onto Tainui, Colyton, etc.

Proved GPS are not infalible. A paper would be more accurate.

Also saw for ourselves how wet the sheltered patches where even at 1-2 pm.

I can do the one lane bridge on the Makuri loop. I'll cut across at Pahiatua.

Yes, a nice route, but essential to thorougly brief all riders on the hazards likely to be encountered. It has easy and difficult sections that all should be aware of.

Riders need to keep an eye out for what's happening behind them as well. No lights slow up. It is a charity ride and not a tostestorone test after all.

Very good point. No-one noticed that most of the group had stopped until well down the track. Definitely no room for hi-jinks.

some more pics, the little bandit went like a dream, cracked 250km now so it's pretty 2nd hand hard to keep up tho while I'm still running her in
Completely agree with bonez about the pahiatua BP, would save a few wayward riders on the day.
