I appreciate the intent, but if they pull you over isn't that just one less vehicle that could be pulled over for doing something wrong.

Like they're gonna stop me anyway though...I need to put this into context. Haven't been pulled over for bad riding for ages so the chances I'll get pulled over for good riding are slim to none.

I do not have the time when travelling on the road for some police officer to delay me in 'my life' so that he can give himself some warm fuzzys at my expense. What many police offircers do not realise is that they are our servants and not the other way around. This is either PR bull shit or a random stopping policy and the police not having the balls to say this.

...drivers behaving well this summer holiday. Read in the newspaper (so it must be true) the other day about how police intend to pull over drivers who display acts of courtesy and good road behaviour. They said if its impossible to pull over the driver they will just send a letter. WTF?? You've just spent the last hour behind 3 cars with caravans, waiting for the safest chance to overtake, pull past them all and then get pulled over for it. Ok, maybe that scenario is at the extreme, but I would find that annoying to say the least.

A cynical friend said it is just giving the police more power to pull over people, I think he's a little paranoid, but who knows.

How would you react to being pulled over, red and blues flashing, to be complimented on your driving?

Don't need no more power to pull over vehicles than we already have!!
