i would say dont antagonise mum.

maybe talk to her and see if she will change her mind?

point out the fact that he might just go and get it done anyway so it would be better to just give permission and go with him, that way you will know it is done properly and in a clean enviroment rather than your boy just saying "fuck you" and getting it done somewhere that is not clean etc.

one question though, what will his school say about an eyebrow peircing?

just my tuppence worth tis all

Good point on the school thing. No point getting it done if he's gonna have to take it out a few days later.
Me, I managed to convince my mum to come along to see it was done right. My mums always been pretty cool about my piercings though and she recently pierced my nose for me. She needs more practice though as shes not too shit hot at it.

Hey, at least you'll be able to tell them apart then. =)

Tell him he's not far from being a man, and you'd rather he turned into a real man rather than some faggot fairy that wears jewelery on his face. Men don't have piercings, period.

a tattoo??? he is 15! NO!!!

i have got quite a few tattoos, the 1st of which i got when i was 14 or 15 and i regretted it. i have now had that one along with a few others i got at about the same age covered by bigger and better tattoos.

why did i regret them and have now (and still am) having them covered? coz i was young and silly and didnt know what i wanted.

the law states 18 yo minimum to get a tattoo, it is there for a reason, personally i think it should be 25 yo to get a tattoo. that way you have (or should have lol) grown up enough to not get a tattoo for fashion reasons or peer pressure.

Or you could get a piercing and a tat' first and they'd have to find some other rebellious thing to do......like ride a motorbike!!

Remind them first of a few things they have to keep in mind before they make a decision. Give them all the pros and cons of tattoos and piercing and let them make a decision:

    • He is a 15 year old kid and most likely energetic, playful and into some kind of sport, be it rugby, soccer or motorbikes. Eyebrow piercings don't go well with contact sports or sports of any kind in fact. Rip it once and you have to go through a bit of shit.
    • If he ever gets into a scuffle he's looking at a ripped eyebrow again. Painful and takes time to heal.
    • School regulation as mentioned before.
    • Looking after it well to make sure it's clean to avoid infection, kids can get careless at times.
    • Tattoos, once you're bored of the design, then you're looking at hundreds possibly thousands to remove it and time taken.
    • They will need parents consent for tattoos and piercing if they are under the age of 18.
And if after that they still decide to get one, what can you do then aye. Let kids be kids and learn from their life experiences.

Tell him not to be wannabe, and get a Prince Albert through his dick.
Better still, tell him you will pay for it.
Piddling around with a little eyebrow jobbie is for girls.
Either way, the look on his face will be priceless.
