Not possible. gijoe1313 doesn't spend any time 'not on his bike' I'm afraid. He lives on his bike all the time.

Yeah but in that film, Jimmy was popping pills like tic-tac's - maybe he just kept forgetting...

    stony faced riders

Well I have been nodding or waving to all scooters and most bigger bikes I see on my travels to and from work and around town, but have not detected even the most cursory glance... it seems most scooter riders are in a "look straight ahead ignore all else" kind of bubble... or something... nodding or waving appears pointless..

The only response so far was another bike rider on a large cruiser-type bike filtering up behind then beside me at a traffic queue who said "Well done" and then we blasted off as the light turned green.

It appears that there is little camaraderie between bikers that don't know one another... It seems I will have to join a club.

Or the "...christ my job sucks, I need an espresso, did I leave the iron on..?" bubble

    That is uncivilised.

Sort of like when one is walking the dog down the street and give a passer by a cheery "Good Morning" and that person look firmly at their feet and march on past.

    Miserable bastards

I do that too! My hubby is like "do you know them?" No, just nice to say hello to people sometimes! I said hello one day to this guy who has Downs syndrome and he's never forgotten it, everytime he sees me coming now he gives me this big smile and says hello to me now. Nothing wrong with a bit of politeness is there?!

I've actually got a nod today, while riding my wee little fiddy scooter near Northlands mall, ChCh. At least I think it's a nod. I nodded back.

Most of the scooter riders I nod or wave to never do jack in return.

I was thinking maybe they just have small balls or they are either too damm hot looking to wave back.

Don't read to much into it....
Most Scooter riders of late are not motorcyclist by choice, they are kinda "economic refugees"
They only ride a scooter because it makes economic sense....They don't feel part of "the Brotherhood" Just like catching a ride on the ferry doesn't make you a sailor....
