I have a starting problem with my 95 BMW F650
It starts from cold with full choke beautifully and will idle on full choke no problems but when I try to rev it with the choke on it coughs and dies. It also coughs and dies if I take the choke off whilst idling. Getting the choke off (ohh err missus) is a delicate combination of rolling on some throttle and easing the choke off at the same time.
Once the choke is off the bike will idle and rev fine.
I recently moved the voltage regulator to in fount of the air intake so it is possible that this is reducing the airflow into the carbs but the problem did exist before I did this.
Any suggestions or anyone know a bike mechanic in Auckland that I can get to look at it.
Thanks
