Sels1 thanks for the links I think they will help. To Motodrummer and fatzx10R I think you both gave some good advice. Its not so much the higher speeds that make me anxious its negotiating those slow speeds, the roundabouts etc that I tend to get anxious about. My husband said much the same as what you have all said, just relax, dont' ride above your ability and take little rides till you build up some time under the helmet, you;ll find it does come naturally. so thats what I'm looking for - the naturallness. In reality I've probably ridden on the roads for a total of about 4 hrs total so maybe I am judging 'the riding experience' a little harshly. I did find that the last couple of times I got on the bike (and my last ride was about 80k's through all sorts of traffice, and a national park, so some twisties) that the things I was struggling with initially did come easier, and I was able to concentrate on other abilities that I need to hone. I'm also at the stage where I am keen to get out on the bike again but haven't had the opportunity to do so. Thats a good sign right?
anyway tnx to all of you for your welcome and I am keen to read other peoples journeys, and was I right when I said I tend to talk a lot????
