If I can't patrol around in a police car catching speeders, I'm not much good then?

I'll eventually get forced into getting a car licence. Sigh...

My job is like a box of birds....All shit and feathers!

Just jokes! I love my job actually.

Pretty proud of myself that after several years of hard work honing my skills in my chosen field....I'm now in the position where I have enough credibility and positive reputation that I've been able to successfully negotiate 4 day weeks for the same money!

My job allows me to work with a huge range of people from all over the organisation (across NZ) + varied levels of seniority within the org from the CE to the mailroom staff AND because I seem to be fairly well liked AND not a manager people tell me EVERYTHING...I know all the good gossip

After 20 years of being in charge,I'm wallowing in irresponsibility.I get told what to do,and make no decisions....I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow, that is someone else's job...that apostrophe says it belongs to them.I don't get paid much, but that means they don't get much either...I'm under utilized,I feel like an old bull put out to pasture.....and that's ok by me,I'm all fucked out.

Unfortunately (for me), the Missus is in a two year contract with her dream job, and it happens to be the only Hospital she can work in Emergency straight out of Uni. Once those two years are up, i'm pretty sure we might make the move back.

Besides, i'd be a Jafa by then, who wants to work with a Jafa?
Hehe....i used ta be a jaffa....now me is jus a hick!

    you fuckin bet!!!!

I am havung a great time.
I have tried a few things out, eventually settling for store work because it pays the bills, then becoming a coldstore supervisor (which means hand loading containers with 60lb ctns 6 days a week on a salery, then spending the 7th day doing bullshit paperwork, while the casual labour is earning more per week cause they are on wages and actually paid for the hours they do), so I took a complete change of direction....a drainlaying apprenticeship....our company does all sorts of construction work, so it something new every day, huge trucks and diggers, gigantic sandpits, knuckle dragging oafs to feel superior to, long drives in trucks to enjoy, did I mention diggers , but also fuckin concrete .

oh did I mention time and a half after 40?, I am making more money than ever (finally) and I am just the boy....cool

I must admit I hopped on a forkift today for the first time in ages, then I remembered some of the fun times at the coldstores.
although I sometimes moonlight at a local supermarket in the evenings as a storeman, so I can get my forklift fix then, , by the way, some fridgies I know have taken to calling me "joe dirt", but thats ok cause in the end....he scored Brandy
