But *I'd* like to know how a six-year-old bike can manage to have only 4800 on the clock. Must have been in storage or summat. Was it NZ new?
I'm about to start investigating that. It is NZ new.

Um I think I know someone who is selling a trick version of the TRX. It is std but some weird model with different suspension Brembo brakes etc.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Any other suggestions/advice gladly accepted. Please bear in mind that I will probably just ignore all advice and buy the shiniest/fastest/best handling bike within my budget anyway.
Both nice bikes at good prices, low mileages too.

Of these two, I'd buy the Yamaha.

In your price range too is the Kawasaki ZXR750, the Honda CBR750 and VFR750, not to mention the Yamaha FJ1200 and XJR1200 (if you're interested in something larger and naked).

    Happy hunting!

CBR750 is a whale. As is the FJ.

ZXRs are too old in that price range, and the VFRs are nice but boring. XJR is a nice but plain bike like a (shhh) Bandit.

I've seen a couple of blades going in that price bracket recently... Nice bikes too... Pretty quick, fairly comfy, reliable... Worth a look.

I told you I don't like Larios! (That's about all I could afford with my money - even a Mk2 is getting out of reach)

See, nice but plain is PRECISELY what I, for instance, am after.

    Wouldn't have a Bindit 6, though, I don't think. Have to be a 12.

    Or an XJR.

    Because I'm boring.

    The 500s could be affordable.

Go for a Zrex. You won't regret a minute of it.

I'll get one if I can find one, because I *would* prefer it, but I just have this feeling they'll be out of my price range.

A colleague has a nice XJR1300 he brought over from the UK that he'll be happy to sell to me next year for around 8K, and I'll be having my eye out for one of those diverted-from-Kazakhstan B12's going from the Suzuki dealers right now once they start hitting TradeMe.

What do you reckon could I get a Zed Wrecks for, then?

I thought you were getting mine for nothing when I died? (Hopefully you can't wait that long...)
