What beer do you drink?

Mac's Sun Dance
Mac's Great White

It's damn near impossible to find, but I really enjoyed "Cardrona Gold" by Wanaka Beerworks. I've seen it in the supermarket twice in the last 5 years which is a shame as its damn tasty.

The stuff from White Cliffs brewery north of New Plymouth isnt bad either, I often stop and grab a flagon when I ride down to see my mate in NP.

My "mainstream" beer of choice is Tui, but I'll drink most anything as long as its not Lion Red.

Speights is prob one of my fav's, but I do like to try different beers especially European, so long as they are Ice cold. Can't stand warm beer

The Moa beer are quite yummy as well!

Moa is over rated IMHO. It uses a quirky brewing technique which adds interest but the beer just not worth drinking.

Macs used to be a nice drop until Lion took them over and started putting Waikato River water in it (Macs Gold).
Monteiths was great but the DB took most of the production to Auckland and turned it into swamp water.
Heineken and Oranjeboom are great Dutch lagers but the NZ brewed copies are chemical laced gut rot. Guinness, same problem.
And US beers never rated a mention to start with!

Altogether much like Jaguar was a beautiful marque until Ford started churning them out.

Stick with the hand made beers for great taste without a toxic waste headache the next day

Been recently converted to home brewing.
Brewcrafts Corona copy is absolutly lovely.
Also like the Munich lager & Newcastle Brown Ale.
$30 gives 30 750ml bottles of yummyness.
Hardest bit is getting the bottles to put brew in.

When I get a bit more cash I will get an Air distiller. A wee tabletop gadget to produce 40%ABS Spirits. Very small & none of that watercooled reflux action. $11.95 for a homemade bottle of spirits. Designed to make 1 bottle a week. $289 for full kit from BREWCRAFTS.

I like Brewcrafts. It rates up there as a cool place right besides Cycletreads.

Next week I may have to actually buy beer. Either that or rip into the cider I have had sitting for a few weeks. Quality beer.

Whatever my latest creation is......Morgans Blue Mountain Lager....

Little Creatures Pale Ale, isn't a bad drop though, espec. from the brewery.

Brewcrafts Corona copy is absolutly lovely.

The Morgans is really good on a hot day - with a hint of Lime.
Not good for continual drinking though.

I've got 3 bottles of the Munich left (aged about 12 months) and have just bottled a batch of Newcastle Brown...looking forward to testing that.

Newcastle Brown best enjoyed at room temp. I keep mine stacked in Garage. Not been able to get anything aged over 4mths. Will try to do better

Yeah...I struggle to age anything too. I too have mine stacked in the garage, about nine crates high. I found the best way to age it is to stick a few bottles in the bottom crate, then I have to really want it because to get at it I have to move the other 8 crates.

Ideally, I'd like to get production up to a level where I'm always sitting on about a 6 month stockpile...by default that would mean I'm drinking mature beer...problem is I haven't got enough bottles.
