Would like to try making Mead. From what I can gather, its ready to drink as soon as bubbling stops. Is it hard to make? What recipe did you use? I think I'll get Googling.

Most [Stein]lager in a green bottle does it for me, NZ & import. CD when home - when in Rome...
Speights distintion has caught my attention lately as have some of these hearty Monk brews from Belgium & Holland...Good winter quaffing.

I like brown beers but not so much the black types. Even drink a nice drop here (Saudi) called Moussey. Tastes real good but you have to pretend you're getting pissed as its got no alcohol.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

No- its almost ready to bottle after the bubbling stops - about 4 months for a gallon bottle - then you should leave it for a year or so.......I've got one old recipe - take 1cwt of honey and 45gals of water........Mstriumph is the brewer of mead, what with her being a woad wearing wild woman and all.........

Tried an interesting brew this week - Mango beer, by Matsos, made in Broome! - Rather pleasant, in a smooth, mild Ale, mangoey way.

Leopard! That shit even had paws on the can didn't it? I drank that when I was on the lam in Hastings 81-83, fucking rubbish! I bet your dad's home brew kicked more arse than that LC shite.

Watching Midge Marsden play at the Mayfair was the highlight of that 2-yr stint.
