    Feijoa addiction

    Does anyone have feijoa trees at their house? if you have spares I am happy to take them off your hands!!!
    in AKL central but happy to ride out of Auckland with panniers to collect!

    I love the things, too. We planted a couple of trees last winter, and surprisingly got a small crop off them this year! Looking forward to bigger crops as the trees grow

    We have buckets of them. I made so much Pasta sauce and froze it that we now have no containers in the house.

    We got the best kind of Feijoas.......the neighbours

    And some of the best roads

    They have 4 trees & the buggers fall onto our property by the bucket load

    The backpackers love it, anyone staying here can have as many as they like

    hundreds of em rotting away under the trees, squished over the drive.
    the kids went thru a spell of eating them, ate to many of them and now
    their sick of them...

    Yeah, our season has pretty much finished too. I've frozen heaps of them! mmmmmmmmm feijoas!

    awwwww feijoas!!! they give you the mean squirts if you eat too many though! My step-dad used to make a mean feijoa wine... oh dear.. *wipes off the drool*

    I was round at a friends place yesterday, he was giving away shopping bags full, he has already made 20 Litres of wine this year, along with strawberry wine and guava wine.
