you probably can't find ex-race ones cos half the F3 racers run their tyres till they're shagged and then they get the cast off's from the other half.

I gave my last take offs to blakamin, and hopefully the ones I've got on now will last most of the season.

    I can do an MEZ3 rear @$238 and an M1 front @$200.

I'm not into a bidding war so that's our price.

    What say you Aff?

i get paid in the new year (like the 3rd i think) so i'll be looking then. I got quoted about $500 for a set of good tyres filled (diablo's or m1 or somink).

WT i will be going on a scouting mission early next week to see what the boys up here can offer me. It's not a bidding war just wanting to know the best price.

Jim: if you can get hold of them PM me pleeeeeeeease. I don't quite know if i'll have $500 for tyres so second hand (decent ones) are a goer.

I'll try and sell these avons. The rear is a little flat in the middle but the front is like newish. DO NOT RECOMEND FOR SPORTS BIKES. They don't have much grip about 10mm from the edge sometimes so will suit a sports tourer type bike i suppose
Lump lingered last in line for brains,

Dude have you thought about bridgestone? Even if you dont know anyone or something most places will do a set of BT090's for just over $400 or so. And personally id drop to a 150/60-17 on the rear as its a 4.5" rim - you may or maynot have noticed all other 400 manufcaturers put 4.5" rear rims on their bikes and had 150 section tyres recommended and fitted from stock, and tyre companies generally suggest a 150 section for a 4.5" rim max, otherwise u get more pull on the tyre thing and it makes the edge near unusable, i dunno :S i tried both and stuck @ 150.
was very strange that kawasaki chose 160 though, on H models in the manual i beleive they say 160/150 though.

Anyway never look passed bridgestone, usually the cheapest of the good tyre companies, and i love em Well see if i still love them after taupo 28th, rear tyre will have seen 4 days at the track i think and front has seen a season :P i changed tyres then ran outta money so the shagged front tyre has to go back on for this meeting.

You should keep your Avons, your rear one anyway, lots of fun.

    Hmmm...
    I always thought 150 for 4.25" rim and 160 for 4.5".

The 150's are quicker turning which suits the 400's better as they don't have the absolute power to do justice to the increased contact patch of the 160's or higher.

    Or something like that.
