It'll fit. You need to make a flange with a tube sticking out which is the same OD and ID as the carb. The flange bolts up to the TF barrel and you put a bit of radiator hose over the tube and fit the carb in the other end. Couple of hoseclips and she's all good. I think I have a couple of those flange things round here somewhere. The radiator hose piece is only long enough to fit over the tube and the carb. The carb and the tube should be real close together but not touching for good airflow,

Speaking of carbs, anyone run a carb off a two stroke on a four stroke? Any problems?

The carb you want to use is off a two smoker of double the size, a two smoker has double the induction cycles........Emultion tube, needle, both jets......get a 250 4 smoke carb, it will be less grief.

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.

I've done it. Due to the different intake pulses you will have to make changes. Size wise, just get one you think will be about right. Then the change to make is where air goes into the carb there will be a hole which supplies air to the emulsion tube. Cut a thread in that and put in something like a 110 main jet (small round slotted type fit nicely). You then make all the usual changes to get the jetting right. You "may" have to change the 110 jet but it will be a good place to start. I put some 26mm mikuni carbs from a RD250 onto a Honda 200 twin. Worked a treat.

I've used the TKRJ brand and found them to be very good. The last one did end up in lots of pieces but . . . . . .

The one listed looks to have blow by, going by the discolouring of the piston and going by the general grubby nature of the piston I would steer clear.

I've been keeping track of piston dimensions of the ones I've used. If you give me the dimensions of what you have I will see if anything compares, sort of.

Reading that ad he has fitted an oversize TKRG piston and has for sale the standard piston that he has taken out. I don't think its a TKRG piston kit that is for sale?

Find a bucket of shit cut it to shreads set it up how you want it (or buy one set up) for the track and follow a few rules
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
